Hurricane Server is an MTA with controls and built in processes including automatic domain level delivery rules, support for authentication technology such as DomainKey/DKIM and Sender Id/SPF, and automatic greylisting. Various system reports enable you to monitor the status of your mailings and pinpoint specific deliverability problems.
Features include:
- Hurricane Server provides integrated support for DomainKeys and DKIM and includes a wizard that provides instructions on how to setup both your DNS and Hurricane Server to get DomainKeys and/or DKIM working. Additionally, Hurricane Server is 100% compatible with Sender ID and SPF.
- Hurricane Server's automatic bounce handling uses VERP (Variable Envelope Return Path) to encode the return path of outbound messages. This ensures that bounces automatically flow directly back to Hurricane Server. The server's encoding process embeds message identifiers into the return path so that any message id or mailing/campaign id you have tagged the message with remains with the message even through a bounce. When Hurricane Server receives a bounced message it is immediately analyzed, and the results can be studied in the Hurricane Server reports and logs. Last but certainly not least, the bounced message, results of the analysis, and custom identifiers are passed to the back end event driven API which you can intercept with your own .Net code and update your own databases in real time.
- The Web based management console gives you real time, detailed access to delivery statistics from any computer. The system overview dashboard provides an overview of the last 24 hours and the queue detail dashboard enables you to drill down into your queue and get delivery stats on any account, domain or message in queue. Zooming in to the message level gives you a view of the log items associated with that message.
- Several built in reports provide charts and graphs that enable you to monitor your inbound messages, outbound messages, failures and bounces.
