OfficeView Software's OfficeView product line is In-Out board software that shows the current whereabouts of employees. Both server and serverless versions of the platform are available.
The server-based Web OfficeView turns your Web browser into a virtual in-out board. The board displays standard or customized remarks, such as "in," "in but unavailable," "on vacation until X," and so on. Because your whereabouts are known, office workers can give informed responses to phone calls.
Web OfficeView also includes a messaging system (can be disabled) and a screen that displays employee information, such as the telephone, fax, pager etc. When you use the login feature, the main screen will automatically indicate "In" beside your name. One click next to your name opens a list of remarks. Another click selects your new remark for others to see.
Instant OfficeView is a virtual in-out board that doesn't need a central server to operate. It requires no administration. It has an optional presence detector which indicates who is actively at their workstations. The program also displays which workstations are not running the program.
When you turn on your computer, Instant OfficeView automatically shows you as "In" and when you shut down your computer, it automatically changes your status from "In" to "Out" and indicates you are off-line. Information and messages are exchanged instantly and the messaging system has an option to have the messages pop up on top of all other running programs.
