Permessa IM Control!

Permessa IM Control! enhances real-time communications products from IBM and Microsoft with real-time compliance, availability, and archiving features.

Permessa IM Control! software archives ongoing IM dialogs and proactively tests all IM services to verify they are up and functioning. It blocks improper communications in real-time and reports policy violations. As native server-side software, Permessa IM Control! addresses both internal and external IM communications.

Permessa IM Control! features allow IT teams to do the following:

- Manage and control enterprise IM services, including chat, electronic meetings, whiteboard sharing and buddy lists

- Block messages that violate compliance and abuse policies, based on the individuals participating and message content

- Archive chats, including graphics and explicit file transfers, for compliance and legal discovery, when used with proper records retention products

- Process synthetic transactions that test all IM services automatically to measure availability and performance. Synthetic transactions start virtual conversations, launch electronic meetings, test buddy lists, and more

- Manage IM behavior including creating unattended scheduled meetings and leaving open many idle IM windows

- Allocate costs by individual, department, business unit or enterprise-wide

Permessa IM Control! will be available in Q2 2008 for IBM Lotus Sametime, with Microsoft OCS availability planned for later this year.
