Graphics professionals use FreeHand 10 to create advanced illustrations, large print projects, and Web site storyboards.
FreeHand 10 offers increased productivity through an editable symbol library for better asset management and the ability to select print areas from large projects. The product also features the customizable Macromedia user interface that is now standard across its entire Web authoring product line.
FreeHand 10 also introduces Master Page functionality which brings speed and flexibility to designers who want to use templates to speed authoring of large projects that share common design elements. Designers will also benefit from FreeHand 10's free-form contour gradient fill to add drop shadows, beveled edges, and highlights on objects in an intuitive, natural way, as well as reusable brush stroke tools.
Web designers will also benefit from the rich integration between FreeHand 10 and Macromedia Flash. The products now share the Macromedia common user interface to deliver a more seamless authoring experience. The new user interface also includes some common Macromedia Flash features such as a Macromedia Flash Navigation Panel for easily applying links or actions. Now, basic interactivity for Macromedia Flash content can be added from within FreeHand, and users can also navigate and play back their Macromedia Flash animations within the FreeHand authoring environment.
Macromedia FreeHand 10 is now available. The product is priced at $399, with upgrades from previous versions available for $129. The Macromedia Flash 5 FreeHand 10 Studio is priced at $599 with a special limited time offer available for $499. Upgrades to the studio from previous versions of Macromedia Flash for FreeHand are $199.
