Active@ Data Recovery Software is a division of LSoft Technologies. As its name suggests, the product line includes utilities to secure, recover, undelete, etc. partitions and files. Among the current product offerings:

- Active@ File Recovery for Windows enables you to find, review and recover lost or deleted files. It scans computer hard drives and displays all recoverable files. Also you can use it for hard drives, SCSI disks, floppy diskettes, and digital media (such as CompactFlash, SmartMedia, Secure Digital / MultiMediaCard, Sony Memory Sticks).

- Active@ UNDELETE is designed to restore deleted files and directories. According to the vendor, you can recover lost data even if the hard drive has been reformatted, the partition deleted or damaged by a computer virus, bad sectors or failed upgrade. Besides hard disk drives and floppies it supports recovery from removable devices like Secure Digital, CompactFlash, SmartMedia, MemoryStick, ZIP or JAZ backup drives.

- Active@ KillDisk is a security application that destroys data permanently from any computer that can be started using a DOS floppy disk. Access to the drive's data is made on the physical level via the Basic Input-Output Subsystem (BIOS), bypassing the operating systems logical drive structure organization. Regardless of the operating system, file systems or type of machine, this utility can destroy all data on all storage devices; it does not matter what operating systems and file systems are located on the machine. Active@ KillDisk Professional conforms to US Department of Defense clearing and sanitizing standard DoD 5220.22-M.

- Active@ Partition Recovery is DOS software that helps to recover deleted partition and logical disks on hard drives. Can backup and restore MBR, partitition table, boot sectors, and runs from a startup disk (DOS program).

- Active@ UNERASER is undelete software for DOS that helps to recover deleted files on FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS partitions. Active@ UNERASER also supports localized, long filenames, compressed files, and creation of Disk Images, Master Boot Record (MBR) Backups, and access to the hard disk drive sectors using Disk Viewer.

- Active@ Disk Image is a DOS-based backup utility designed for backup and restore the whole HDD as well as particular FAT / NTFS partitions and logical drives. It can open disk images and preview files and folders inside before image restoration. Also you can restore disk images created in other data recovery software applications such as Active@ UNERASER, Active@ Partition Recovery or Active@ UNDELETE.
