Advasar--Advanced Search and Replace--is a program for processing text and RTF-documents with the help of regular expressions.

The program has a text editor for working with 50 different types of documents. It processes files of any character coding (ANSI, ASCII, UTF-8, Unicode, etc.). It includes a system of interactive training, and a search and replacement system based on the syntax of Perl regular expressions.

Main features include:

- Regular expressions can be debugged visually while you are creating them.

- Multiprocessing replacement while handling documents (several regular expressions applied one by one)

- Ability to create backup copies while replacing and to cancell changes step by step or straight from the original copy

- Ability to write out found lines in a single or multiple target file(s)

- File recoding from any code page into any other code page (ANSI, ASCII, UTF-8, Unicode, etc.)

- Launching from command line with parameters

- Multilanguage interface

- Text editor with capabilities such as rectangular selection, macros, and drag and drop

- Syntax highlighting of many document formats (C, PAS, ASM, Perl, INI, Java, SQL, HTML, XML, PHP and etc.).

- Search for an opening or closing HTML tag

- Block selection in HTML document for individual viewing in the Web-browser

- Code page autodetection of the document
