Actinic

The Actinic product line consists of E-commerce and shopping cart software in several flavors targeting entry level to advanced sites. Currently offered products include:

- Actinic Catalog is an entry-level E-commerce platform that is upgradable to more advanced functionality. It is targeted to the building and management of a basic Web site and online store and includes bank-approved security, catalog creation and maintenance, and secure shopping cart functions with a Windows interface and support options.

Actinic includes over 3000 customizable design layout and color scheme combinations. Real-time page preview enables you to view changes to your site as you make them. Catalog offers access to HTML code via Macromedia Dreamweaver or the built-in template manager. According to the vendor, Catalog delivers search engine-friendly pages with automatic site navigation features and full support for manual page optimization.

Catalog offers basic content management features and supports a variety of product layouts, including list format with single add-to-cart button per page. Additional product information can be added on the product page, on an additional page, or in a pop-up window.

The built-in order processing facility includes support for phone, fax and mail orders, shipping and tax handling, back-ordering, stock monitoring and reporting features. It also includes customer E-mail support, anti-fraud and anti-spam options.

- Actinic Business is an E-commerce package supporting advanced and high-volume sites. Actinic Business has integration with Intuit QuickBooks and UPS Online Tools, discounting, customer account management, as well as support for downloadable products.

In addition to the features provided in Actinic Catalog, Actinic Business provides an advanced search facility within the catalog that enables searching by product attributes such as price, size, and color; a digital download module that enables digital products such as MP3s, documents and images to be included in the catalog and delivered immediately as a download direct to the customer; integration with leading payment providers and leading accounts packages; and dynamic linking with external data sources.

Additionally, Actinic Business supports creation of accounts for regular customers, who can be offered their own pricing schedule and unique store content. The discounting module provides flexible support for special offers such as "Buy one get one free," "Buy A and get x% off B," etc. Price offerings can be time-limited, and triggered by a voucher code or E-mail link.

- Actinic Developer offers all the features of Actinic Business plus the ability to build, upload, and maintain multiple E-commerce sites from a single software platform.
