Atomica One-Click

Instant Context-Sensitive Internet Look-Up For Any Word

Atomica (formerly known as Gurunet) One-Click is a Windows system tray utility that allows the user to alt-click any word on screen and receive instant, context-sensitive information pertaining to that word. For common words, available information includes dictionary definitions, thesaurus, and encylopedia entries; while clicking on the name of the company will automatically retrieve relevant information such as the description of the company, company news, and stock prices. Words to be looked up can appear anywhere on the user's screen within any text-based application, including Web browsing sessions, word processing, and E-Mail. Words embedded in graphics cannot be retrieved.

Information retrieved for each search term may also include specific Web links suggested by users, as well as additional options for searching any of a number of popular search engines for the term in question or for book related entries within several online booksellers. The utility keeps track of each request made by the user, allowing them to move backward and forward through their requests. The latest version features an always on-screen AnswerBar allowing users to enter specific topics and receive Atomica results.

Version 2.0 of Atomica is now available as a free download from the Atomica Web site. A version is also available for the Palm O/S.
