Metascan Antivirus Integration SDK

The OPSWAT Metascan Antivirus Integration SDK for Clients is designed to check the integrity of a client's antivirus application(s), as well as to control common antivirus features. It supports multiple antivirus applications simultaneously, can scan files or data streams in memory, and takes less than 400KB.

The application is also available with up to 8 built-in pre-licensed engines from AVG, CA, ClamWin, ESET, Norman, Quick Heal, Sunbelt and VirusBuster.

The OPSWAT Metascan Antivirus Integration SDK for Clients can verify or monitor:

- Antivirus software is running

- MD5 signatures of antivirus services and drivers

- Antivirus tray icon is active

- All antivirus services are active

- All antivirus integrity checks are passed

- Real time protection is enabled

- Age of virus definition file

- Version of antivirus software engines and applications

- Last scan time

- Cache scan results

- Perform boot system scanning

- Deploy remotely through 100kb client

Upon problem discovery, the following actions are supported:

- Notify user of problem

- Get updated virus definition files

- Start disabled antivirus services

- Launch real time file system protection

- Launch virus scan

Available interfaces include: Object Oriented, C++ interface, Simple COM interface (Tlb file also available), Java interface also available.

The OPSWAT Metascan Antivirus Integration SDK for Servers provides a user interface to launch antivirus applications, analyze data streams, and speed up file scanning.

Features include:

- Stream scanning: Lets you scan data streams, not just files. The product scans files or data streams in memory, before they reach your hard drive.

- Live update launch for both products and signatures

- Optional autoupdate capability
