Celestix One FV930

Celestix Networks has announced the release of FV930, the company's first rack mount appliance. FV930 integrates Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. VPN-1/FireWall-1/Next Generation (NG) to deliver security and connectivity to mid-size enterprises and regional offices. Additionally, the FV930 has undergone a rigorous testing process to be certified as a "Secured by Check Point" appliance.

FV930 features a backlit LCD panel with an integrated dial control that allows the administrator to configure network parameters and begin securing the network within 15 minutes. The LCD also provides critical information and allows users to install security updates, or change the configuration of the appliance. FV930 can be managed locally via a standard Web browser or centrally through Check Point's wide array of management software offerings.

FV930 is based on a robust Celestix 1U rack hardware platform, producing a fast and efficient appliance with a maximum of 200 Mbps of firewall throughput and 120 Mbps of MD5/AES128 VPN throughput. To achieve such speed, FV930 uses a powerful Intel Pentium III class CPU running in excess of 1.2GHz, 256MB of RAM and 20GB of hard drive. Celestix FV930 additionally has five auto-sensing 10/100-ethernet ports.

In addition, FV930 comes preloaded and preconfigured with Rainfinity's OPSEC Certified high availability software, RainWall, eliminating failures by ensuring continuous availability of VPN-1/FireWall-1. Check Point's FloodGate-1, ensuring reliable performance for VPN and other mission-critical applications, also comes preloaded.
