ASL*Secure

ASL*Secure helps to ensure that data is protected across business and applications, by enabling you to define data security policies for Oracle E-Business without requiring technical skills. Policies that react dynamically according to context can be created, and policies can be applied to the entire application or a single entry out a specific set of forms.

Implement your security policies without impacting your application code in any way. ASL*Secure security policies are created transparently at the database level; your entire application stays in tact as if nothing had changed.

Specific features include:

- Row Level Security (RLS): Dynamically omit entire rows from queries, application-wide. For example, secure sensitive payroll data by ensuring only certain users can view all pay elements.

- Column Level Security (CLS): Dynamically conceal the data in a particular column based on your own dynamic context. For example, you may need to conceal the use of particular words in an employee's personal history.

- No Special Skills Needed: Anyone with access to Oracle E-Business Suite can setup his or her security solutions. The tools are built into Oracle E-Business Suite with the standard look and feel.
