Sarvega XPE

The Sarvega XPE is a data routing switch that allows both traffic management and multiple-format distribution of information from XML-data input. The 4RU device is installed between the application server (.NET, J2EE, or any other application supporting XML over HTTP data delivery) and provides the ability to recognize the data being sent, translate or transform it as necessary, and intelligently route it to one or many endpoints; including other XML/HTTP receivers (including SOAP servers), E-Mail, Pagers, SMS, WAP, or even voice systems via TTS for information delivery and touch-tone support (DTMF) for responses.

The device accepts the data from the Application in XML over HTTP form, and can route it based on information in an accessible LDAP directory or relational database; routing information provided directly within the XML stream itself; or via specially configured subscriptions. Once the disposition is determined, the data is then transformed for delivery via the appropriate communication agent; including other XML over HTTP servers, E-Mail (SMTP), pagers, WAP, SMS, or voice systems. Multi-distribution is supported (a single initial file can be routed to multiple end points). These end points can then return a response to the data, which the switch translates back into an XML format for delivery to the originating application.

In addition to its ability to transform and deliver data via specificed business rules, the switch can also serve as an XML data traffic management device, including the ability to prioritize and/or escalate specific types of transactions. The device is able to recognize both the meaning of and actual content of specific tags within the XML data, allowing it to react based on that information.

The device is configured via both a Web based interface (system management and configuration) and a command line (system management only), and supports the processing of up to 250 messages per second.
